What do you shoot with?

Some photos from 2010

I guess I owe you guys some photos from the last few months :) - click on the photo to find out more information about the photo (EXIF)

I borrowed a Nikon D40 w/ a 18-55 kit lens to mess around with the DSLR environment and this was my best shot during a walk in a nearby park.

Bee is for buzz -  f/5.6, 1/500, ISO 400

When I purchased my Nikon D90, I immediately purchased a 35mm f/1.8 to compliment my kit lens. One of my mates invited me to see his band; Everything Is Coming Up Milhouse and I offered to shoot it for fun.

Tony from Everything Is Coming Up Milhouse - f/1.8, 1/100, ISO 1600

The crew from Everything Is Coming Up Milhouse - f/1.8, 1/100, ISO 1600

I also created a DIY lightbox for my product photography;

DIY Macro Lightbox

and the results;

Front Shot Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 - f/8.0, 1/200, ISO 200
500ML Can of V Energy Drink - f/5.6, 1/30, ISO 200

and the best Christmas Lights around my area;

Christmas Lights in Edensor Park NSW - f/22, 10", ISO 200

I am definitely interested in gig photography along with product photography - what's usually at the other end of your lens?

Importing previous blog entries

So since I will be closing my blog over at www.matthewwu.com (but saving the domain for the future). I am importing the blog entries over there over to here.

The next few entries will be from last year, enjoy (again)!

My first post

Figured I should start using Google’s Blogger service after receiving my recent bill with my web hosting and domain company…

Using Microsoft Live Writer to publish my stories about computer hardware, random events which I attend, and my photography adventures.

Looking forward to some blogging!

Cheers,
Matthew
